Projects

The Eastern Cape Gospel Partnership implements the goals of the trust via both ongoing and strategic projects. Below are the current projects in which ECGP is involved.

WoL

Word of Life Church

Word of Life is a church that meets on campus every Sunday from 5:30pm at Nelson Mandela University (M222 North Campus), Port Elizabeth. Kenny Lloyd is the church pastor, and its aim is for young people to meet Jesus through his Word.

Bible Speaks Today

BST is an ongoing student ministry at Nelson Mandela University, Port Elizabeth, overseen by Kenny Lloyd. Its activities include Bible-studies, public meetings, and cross-over ministries with Word of Life church.

Ministry Training Scheme

Part of the longer-term strategy of ECGP is to nurture and train new leaders for Christian ministry. This includes the recruitment and partial funding of ministry trainees to work full- or part-time with BST.

Gap Year Program

A number of Christian students from the UK have recently completed working part-time with BST in discipling and evangelism, before returning home to their own universities.

Theological College Links

ECGP regularly draws upon graduates of Bible colleges such as GWC for guest speakers at evangelistic events and conferences. This provides both depth and variety to its teaching ministry.
